who we are
Exella is a company present today in Europe and Asia, for the production with unconventional technologies of metal components for eyewear, goldsmiths, micromechanics, electronics, watchmaking, musical instruments, model making, fashion and design accessories.
Born in Italy from a research project in 1987, it was proposed from the outset to develop alternative solutions, to produce small metal parts even in very limited quantities and with extremely reduced mold or plant start-up costs
Today the group has 120 employees distributed in 4 locations in Europe and 2 in Asia.
FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS ...
The project was born in 1987, with a small laboratory in Italy, in the province of Lucca. In 1990 the first production plant already had over 40 employees and an average production of 10,000 semi-buildings per day.
In 1997 pilot projects were launched in South Korea (closed the following year), in China and Romania. In 1998 the production site was inaugurated in China, in the Jinshan District of Shanghai and the following year the factory in Romania, in Cluj Napoca.
Since 2008 the commercial offices have been operating in Italy in Padua, in France in Paris and in Spain in Barcelona.
In 2019, a pilot unit was opened in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Ming, while 2020 sees the inauguration of the new factory in Romania in Cluj Napoca.
ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES
The main technologies developed are chemical photoengraving, lost wax investment casting, electroforming and cataphoresis, supported by rapid prototyping systems in stereolithography.
Production systems substantially different from each other, but with the common possibility of replicating complicated metal components even in small series, without expensive investments or long waiting times.
From the outset, the company has paid particular attention to environmental impact issues, from recycling to the biodegradability of raw materials to packaging.
CERTIFICATIONS
Each production batch, even the smallest, follows a precise supply chain and the composition and origin of the raw material can be certified, as well as the absence of heavy metals, solvents or protective oils.
The new plant for the European market, in Romania, is achieving ISO 9001 certifications for quality management, ISO / IEC 27001 for the information security management system, ISO 14001 for the environmental management system.
